Louis-auguste cyparis (1875-1929), one of the two survivors of the eruption of Mount Pelée which completely destroyed Saint-Pierre, then prefecture of the Martinique, rest in peace in this stone that protected his life.
His skin torn by volcanic ash burn forever will testify.
